Why November 19, 2026?
When Rockstar moved the launch from May to November 2026, it said the extra months would let the studio “finish the game with the level of polish you have come to expect.” Grand Theft Auto VI is the first mainline entry in over a decade, following 2013's record-breaking GTA V, so the studio is taking the time to land the launch — a date that has since been reconfirmed by parent company Take-Two Interactive.
